The Shree Zalawadi Sthanakwasi Jain Sabha aims to make the Samaj prosperous and united, religious and beneficial to the whole family. With this in mind, the Sanstha has pionereed a number of activities and projects to help the community.


EDUCATION AID


  • The Zalawadi Sabha endeavours to provide access to quality education for qualified Zalawadi students through provision of different Loan Schemes based on gender and level of education, be it School level, Higher Studies or Foreign Education! The Sanstha not only helps with Education fees but also encourages children to study well though yearly Merit Scholarships and Medal to the top scholars from our community. Under the Kanchanben Vrajlal Sheth Notebook Scheme, the Za lawadi Sabha Charitable Foundation distributes 15,000 Jumbo Books and 3000 Long Books for all the members of the Sabha from 22 different centres at a discount rate of around 50%. Shri Pravinchandra Sobhagychand Shah is a contributory donor in the scheme. Shri Jitendrabhai Shantilal Mehta and Shri Maheshbhai Bacchubhai Doshi serve as the convenors of this scheme...

MEDICAL AID


  • The Sanstha provides partial relief to needy members of the community for medicines and hospitalization costs. Not only do they hold regular Eye and Body Check-Up Camps but they also organise Health Seminars and write informative articles about health in the monthly Patrika. They have introduced two Medical schemes for the benefit of the community members, namely: Matushree Champaben Dipchand Turakhia Pariwar Mediclaim - Term Life Insurance Shri. C.U. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES


  • Throughout the year, Zalawadi Sabha celebrates innumerable Jain Utsavs. A Jain Bhavan Upashray has been constructed in Nalasopara where many religious activities are conducted. The Sabha organises Samuhik Pratikramans where Tapasvis are felicitated from a Shubh Fund and all attendees are given prabhavnas during Paryushan. During Paryushan, Lhanas are distributed and young children are encouraged to learn more about our religion by way of Dharmik Parithoshik to students who secure the first rank in their respective Shreni Exams....

Sanatorium


  • The Zalawadi Sabha understands the importance of vacationing for a hardworking person’s family life and therefore they provide inexpensive entertainment for their community in the form of Sanatoriums in the hill stations of Lonavala, Panchgani, Devlali and Matheran where families could vacation together and yet enjoy the feeling of home-cooked food without putting a strain on their pockets. PANI PARAB YOJANA


  • The Pani Parab Yojna was started in many villages of Zalawad in 1967. More than 20 Villages still avail of the Pani Parab Yojna till date. Currently the Zalawadi Sabha operates 5 permanent Pani Parabs at the following places: Near Surendranagar Bus Stand - Donated by Shri C. U. Shah Near Kerry Bazar - Donation by Shri. G. D. Shah At C. J. Hospital Surendranagar - Donated by Shri P. G. Shah At Wadhwan - Donated by Shri. S. K. Shah At Limbdi - Donated by Smt. Manjulaben G. Shah Apart from this, more than 20 seasonal Pani Parabs are organized by Zalawadi Sabha for four months out of the year. Chottila, Bagodara, etc. are being run by various convenors with Shri Narendrabhai Vrajlal and Hitesh Bhagwandas overlooking this scheme....

SAMUH LAGNA


  • Since many ordinary members of the Sabha cannot afford the expenditure that goes into a wedding, the Zalawadi Sabha started the Samuh Lagna program where the Sabha organizes free Samuh Lagnas for couples every year with adherence to proper religious ceremonies. This annual program is made possible through the very generous donations of esteemed benefactors of the community....

MASIK PATRIKA


  • The Zalawadi Sabha has its own monthly magazine where one can always stay updated with not only the latest news of what is going on in our community and its activities but also read good entertaining and educational stories of life, made possible due to the dedication of editor Smt. Sandhyaben Bipinbhai Shah. Members can give advertisements in the Patrika and can also share Biodatas for Matrimonial purposes....

VASTI PATRAK


  • The Zalawadi Sabha has issued 2 editions of the Vasti Patrak till date, which gives detailed information about the Sabha’s histories and activities and also the latest count of all Zalawadi members across Mumbai....
